Environmental Issues

Roads are needed infrastructure in our societys yet can cause significant environmental impacts. These impacts, both positive and negative,  must be addressed through Environmental Analysis and considered or mitigated  in road planning and design. Impacts include changes in social services, land use changes, sedimentation and water quality degradation, fish and aquatic organism passage barriers, wildlife collisions, and the spread of noxious/invasive plants. Analysis should be performed using an interdisciplinary team.
