AEGF is committed to respecting your privacy. External users  can visit the Library web site without revealing any personal information.

Information Gathering
AEG and AEGF do not disclose, give, sell, or transfer any personal information about visitors unless required to do so by law.  A limited amount of information is collected about the use of the GLAT for statistical purposes, that is, to measure the number of visitors, for the following purposes: completing or supporting an activity, website and system administration, and research and development. This information may also be helpful when considering changes to make the Web site more useful:

•    The following information about visitors to the Library web site is collected and stored automatically:
•    The Internet domain from which a user has accessed the Internet.
•    The Internet protocol (IP) address of the computer that was used to accessed the Internet.
•    The name and version of the user’s computer operating system and Internet browser.
•    The Internet address of the “referring” Web site, if a user comes to the GLAT from another Web site.
•    The date, time and duration of the user’s visit to the web site.
•    The pages visited.

We use IP addresses (the Internet address of your computer) to help diagnose problems with our servers and to administer the Web site.  For example, we employ statistical software to identify that parts of our Web site are most heavily used.  But, we do not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable.  Like many other Web sites, portions of the Web site may use messages given by Web browsers to Web servers, commonly known as cookies, which can be used to provide a user with tailored information from a web site.  A cookie is an element of data that a web site can send to a user’s browser, which may then be stored on the user’s computer system.  This element of data is a piece of text, not a program.  The Site can only access the information from a cookie sent by the Web site. We cannot access other cookies sent by other web sites or the information contained therein.  Additionally, GLAT cannot learn Your email address or any other information about You through the use of a cookie.  The only way AEGF would learn such information is if You specifically submit that information.

Overall, the use of cookies helps to give the User a customized experience at the Web site.  Through the use of cookies, GLAT will know what is working and what is not working.  That information is then used to keep the Web site fresh and relevant to the User.  Cookies also allow the personalization of any online services GLAT may provide.

You may decline to accept cookies sent by the Web site by selecting an option on your browser to reject cookies.  Other sites linked to the Web site may also send cookies; however, GLAT does not control such activities.  If the User declines a cookie, the User may not be viewing the Website in a way in which it was designed to optimally be presented.

Third Party Hosting
AEGF may contract with one or more third parties to maintain and host the Web site(s).  Therefore, any information Users submit, including personal information, may be placed and stored on a computer server maintained by this third party.  Use of the Web site and any provision of personal information submitted to the Web site constitutes acknowledgement that such information or content could pass through and may be stored in servers outside our control.  The Users agrees that GLAT has no liability or responsibility for any such pass through or storage of same.
