Licensure Issues Collection



The public is protected by various forms of licensure of applied earth sciences. The subject is vastly complicated in detail, mainly related to the professions’ need to satisfy the reasonable demands of society for their professional services. Licensure was a product of the 20th century and it is constantly impacted by changes in societal emphases, as well as the need for the professions to conduct appropriate post-graduate training, not only in matters technical, but in the elements of ethical professional practice.
