Characterization in the Overall Design Process
The Overall Design Process is “engineering” in nature, but when representing construction on or in “the ground” this process requires careful, detailed and accurate geological site information (Site Characterization). These inputs define the role of the Geologist as “Specification” of ground conditions. This page is devoted to the notion of defining how successful Geologic Specification should be an integral part of the Design Process of the Engineer.
