Uncontrolled Waste Sites
Uncontrolled Waste Sites
This is the official environmental regulatory term for places at which hazardous chemical or radioactive wastes have come to be present as health or public safety threats to humans, their food chain or to the very environment itself. Specialty-trained geologists are at the very core of the proper environmental regulatory response, as a means to ensure the greatest possible degree of scientific and technical accuracy is applied to characterizing these sites for the purpose of proper engineered response, all in the public interest.
