Roadway Materials and Sources Development
Roadway Materials information includes the characteristics, use, and design of materials used particularly on the roadway surface, such as native materials, pit-run materials, and crushed aggregate. Limited marginal materials information is included. Some bituminous surfacing materials information such as chip seals is included. Asphalt pavement information is NOT included since a wealth of information is available elsewhere , such as on FHWA or State DOT websites. Some information on quarry and materials source development, management, and reclamation is also included.
