Protection of human life and welfare, from volcanic eruptive threats, requires sensitivity, diligence, awareness and innovation on the part of practitioners in the Applied Earth Sciences. The Foundation here gathers and presents useful and helpful evidence of how the geologic record can be developed, evaluated, explored, and utilized to mitigate the destructive volcanic events, both on land and at sea, worldwide.
